What better way to spend the evening of Valentine’s Day than by trying to figure out how to dab tears from your eyes without knocking your 3D glasses off? That may be a challenge for many people who manage to get tickets to see one of the special screenings of Titanic in 3D.

The film isn’t set to make its official 3D debut until April 6th, however it was just posted on the Titanic Facebook page that some theaters will be hosting “a special free Valentine’s Day Screening” of the movie in select cities across the country. The February 14th date puts these early screenings nearly two months ahead of the official release, however cities are limited and so are tickets. Those who want to “RSVP” to the invitation for an advance screening of Titanic 3D can visit GoFobo.com to see the list of cities and try for tickets. It probably doesn't need to be said, given the price and the popularity of the film that tickets are probably going to go fast.

While the April release of the movie coincides with the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, a Valentine’s Day early screening seems fitting given the film’s romantic focus with fictional characters Jack and Rose. The story has inspired many a girl to swoon (and likely cry), which could make it a great date-night movie for the romantic holiday. However those without a date for the evening, or those who aren’t able to sell their significant other on just how magnificent this film is likely to look in 3D may be able to use the early screening as a great opportunity for a night out with the girls or anyone with an appreciation for romance, fancy dresses and unhappy endings.
