Wasteland Exclusive Clip: Buying A Girl A Drink Has Never Been So Hard

If the movies are indication, Britain is completely crammed with wise-taking criminals, scheming together to rob banks and beat people up and look fantastic doing it. And the latest addition to the wave of British crime films is Wasteland, coming from Oscilloscope Laboratories both on VOD and in theaters in New York and Los Angeles today. You can also watch it online today in any number of places, including iTunes, Amazon, Vudu and Google Play.

In this clip you can see our hero Harvey Miller, played by Luke Treadaway, attempting to make a move on a girl in a club, played by Vanessa Kirby. Turns out the entire scene isn't really what it seems-- she's actually his ex, seeing him for the first time since he went to prison. That's right, this kid may look like your classic awkward goofball in this situation, but Harvey's been recently released from prison, put there by a drug kingpin for a crime he didn't commit. Now that he's out free, Harvey is seeking revenge, and he rounds up three of his friends to rob the drug kingpin and get back at him. As you might guess, though, in classic crime movie fashion, nothing works out quite as planned.

Treadaway, seen as one of the affable stoners in Joe Cornish's wonderful Attack the Block and less memorably in Clash of the Titans, is joined by some other familiar faces in Wasteland, including two Harry Potter alums, character actor legend Timothy Spall (a.k.a. Peter Pettigrew) and Matthew Lewis (a.k.a Neville Longbottom). Watch them shed their wizard's robes and jump into the classic British crime world in Wasteland this weekend.
