Weekend Box Office

Spring. The time of the year when young men and women's fancies turn to thoughts of love.

Except at the movie theater.

Looks likes the ladies turned down a romantic comedy in favor of Matthew McConaughey's bulging biceps...and boyfriends and husbands across the country were all too happy to oblige. Who cares if Fever Pitch features the Red Sox? We're talking the redemption of Steve Zahn over the continued back slide of Jimmy Fallon here.

CB Weekend Box Office gurus were predicting Fever Pitch to take top honors...looks like we were wrong. Sin City even managed to squeeze in above it on its second weekend out. All in all though, a pretty weak showing in general. Feels like America is saving those movie going dollars and bracing for the summer onslaught which is just around the corner.
