The Batman v Superman Trailer Is Awesome, According To The Person Who Made It

The entire world is waiting for the first trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice to hit with bated breath. Rumors of its release date have been circulating for months, but each proposed date has disappointingly passed and we’re still yet to see anything. But co-composer Tom Holkenborg has now taken to Twitter to reveal that he’s just finished mixing the score for the blockbuster’s trailer, which suggests that footage should be just around the corner.

Tom Holkenborg, who also goes by the name Junkie XL, took to his Twitter feed to make the announcement, which, as you can probably imagine, was immediately met by a deluge of excitement.

Rather selfishly, Holkenborg didn’t reveal the exact time and date that the first Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer will be released, but his revelation suggests that it will be sooner rather than later. And, according to Holkenborg, it’s rather sensational too. Which it is always good to hear.

Tom Holkenborg is working as a co-composer on Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice alongside Hans Zimmer. These musicians have collaborated on a number of musical projects together, including The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, and, the predecessor to Batman V Superman, Man Of Steel, while Holkenborg is also currently putting the finishing touches to the compositions for Mad Max: Fury Road ahead of its release next month too. Basically, if you’re looking for a bombastic but engrossing score for a mammoth blockbuster then Tom Holkenborg and Hans Zimmer are your men.

Meanwhile the latest rumor doing the rounds about Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’s first trailer is that it will finally be released alongside Mad Max: Fury Road on May 15, 2015. Warner Bros. have yet to confirm that’s actually the case, but the common consensus is that we will get a glimpse of Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Jesse Eisenberg as Superman, Batman and Lex Luthor, respectively, when George Miller’s fourth installment to his beloved franchise hits cinemas.

Why? Because Warner Bros. own both films for a start, while the allure of a Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer should also entice more viewers to go and see Fury Road. Why they would need even more convincing to do that following the recent releases of Mad Max’s stupendous trailers is beyond me though. Plus, it’s also two weeks after Avengers: Age Of Ultron has been released and over two months before Ant-Man hits cinemas, which means that comic book fans will be able to focus their entire attention on Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’s first clips without being distracted by Marvel’s output. Which is something that Warner Bros. are very wary of.
