Jenny McCarthy And Donnie Wahlberg Engaged

Nothing makes me happier than couple finding each other and starting their life together, especially when there's a thoughtful, unique and creative proposal involved. For one celebrity couple, the ball is now rolling on their journey down the aisle.

According to E Online, Playboy model and The View co-host Jenny McCarthy and everyone's favorite New Kid on the Block actor Donnie Wahlberg are planning to tie the knot. McCarthy spilled the beans about the engagement Wednesday on the show to the cheers of the audience. Wahlberg, who also attended the taping with her was drying away his tears, according to host Whoopi Goldberg, which is pretty cute. Though she has no specific date in mind for the wedding, she either wants an August ceremony or to stretch the engagement out a little.

The proposal itself sounds incredibly adorable and like a pretty unique way to tie together the large new family, which includes McCarthy's son Evan and Wahlberg's two sons from his nine year marriage to Kim Fey. Through a series of cards hand delivered by Evan, Wahlberg asked McCarthy “Will you marry,” followed by Evan's shirt reading, “me?”. After her excited "yes", he gave her the gorgeous yellow sapphire ring she showed off on the air. It's pretty obvious that Wahlberg has already made a bond with Evan, which is so important for a successful family after a remarriage.

There have been a couple recent celebrity engagements that have taken us all a little by surprise. The always stunning Amber Heard and handsome Johnny Depp are planning their nuptials. My favorite childhood pairing of Jackie and Kelso finally became a real thing when Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis recently announced their wedding plans. It's hard telling who might be the next celebrity to pop the question, but it's always exciting when they do.

The two lovebirds met on the set of Bravo show Watch What Happens Live and continued heating things up by flirting on McCarthy's now defunct VH1 show about a year ago. The model had previously said in interviews that she wasn't much interested in marrying anyone else after her six year marriage to John Mallory Asher ended. Wahlberg must be a pretty awesome guy to convince her to take the plunge. We wish nothing but the best of luck to this happy couple and their new blended family.
