Rosie O'Donnell Back At Home After Heart Attack

Rosie O’Donnell says she’s lucky to be alive after suffering a heart attack. Last Tuesday, the comedienne was out and about when a heavyset woman asked for help getting out of her car. Rosie obliged, but later that day, the pain started. The host got hot, nauseous and even googled “women’s heart attack symptoms” but ultimately, decided to take Bayer Aspirin and tough it out. When nothing improved the next morning, she went to a cardiologist and was rushed to the hospital after an EKG.

O’Donnell wrote about the incident on her website this morning, saying her LAD was 99% blocked, the Bayer likely saved her life and a stent was put in. Her message concluded with some advice. You can take a look at the excerpt below…

Over the past few months, Rosie has been in and out of the hospital a lot. Her fiancée, Michelle Rounds, was recently diagnosed with Desmoid Tumors. She’s reportedly improving, but the condition still forced the couple to push back their upcoming wedding. Hopefully, Rosie’s heart attack won’t cause any further delays.

Pop Blend’s thoughts go out to O’Donnell, Rounds and their entire families as they all try to improve. Here’s to hoping they spend less time responding to big events and more times enjoying the little moments over the next few months.
