Actor Stephen Baldwin was pulled over last night on a routine traffic stop, but the situation got more serious when the officers discovered he was driving on a suspended license. He was promptly arrested, taken to jail without passing go and issued a desk appearance ticket ordering him in front of a judge at Manhattan Criminal Court on October 1.

According to The New York Daily News, the incident happened in Harlem on West 125th Street a little after 5 PM. There weren’t any reported complications or altercations during the arrest or booking, but if Baldwin’s twitter account is to be believed, it could be a sign of something much larger. You can take a look at what the born again Christian had to say after he was released…
”I saw a whole new level in the warfare today, intense but not compared to what's coming ... Fear not. I am a weapon ! Are you ? 2 Cor 10.”

For the sake of all things holy, I really hope Baldwin isn’t trying to claim this incident was a battle in the spiritual war because it wasn’t. It was the natural consequence of his decision to drive with a suspended license. By all accounts, there was nothing weird, fishy or anti-Christian about why he was pulled over, but I suppose I should give him the benefit of the doubt since he didn’t overtly say the two were related.

If Baldwin heads back to Twitter or offers some other public comment on his arrest, we’ll bring it to you.
