Silent House Synopsis
A uniquely unsettling horror thriller starring rising star Elizabeth Olsen as Sarah, a young woman who finds herself sealed inside her family’s secluded lake house. With no contact to the outside world, and no way out, panic turns to terror as events become increasingly ominous in and around the house. Directed by filmmaking duo Chris Kentis and Laura Lau, Silent House uses meticulous camera choreography to take the audience on a tension-filled, real time journey, experienced in a single uninterrupted shot. Based on the Uruguayan Film “La Casa Muda.”

This Rotten Week: Predicting John Carter, A Thousand Words and Silent House Reviews This Rotten Week: Predicting John Carter, A Thousand Words and Silent House Reviews
My post-Oscar hangover is just starting to wear off. Granted I didn’t drink at all during the show, but the whole thing was just so weird and disjointed that I ended up feeling wasted. Billy Crystal’s lypo-suction and Adam Sandler talking about “making movies” can have that effect on people. But what better way to dust off the cobwebs than Tim Riggins heading to Mars, Eddie Murphy shutting up and houses going quiet?

Silent House won't hit theaters until next week, but you can get a taste of the terror below, thanks to three new clips and an eerie motion poster. While the trailer focuses on doom-fueled narration, cryptic cuts and jump scares, these clips offer a more understated and strange style of horror. In the first, Sarah reconnects with an old acquaintance in an awkward and unsettling reunion moment...

Martha Marcy May Marlene wasn't the only film that earned newcomer Elizabeth Olsen near universal praise at last year's Sundance Film Festival. The other was a film called Silent House, a horror movie from directors Chris Kentis and Laura Lau. Shot in real time and, according to the directors, all in one take. Now the first trailer for the Sundance hit has arrived online.

In case you weren’t aware, there is a better looking, less cracked out member of the Olsen family which until now seemed to begin and end with Mary-Kate and Ashley. Elizabeth Olsen made a huge splash at Sundance earlier this year appearing in two films that each got themselves a lot of attention
