The Event Preview: A Matter Of Life And Death

Anyone else still watching The Event? If you are, we have some details about Monday night’s episode and a few clips to give you an idea of where the story’s going (without spoiling anything major).

Honestly, I really thought by now this series would be too confusing and cluttered with conspiracies and mysteries to hold my interest but I’m actually enjoying The Event more and more each week. I really hope the writers continue to make each episode interesting, intriguing and suspenseful without taking it too far and making it feel like work.

Below is NBC’s episode description and further down are some clips from the episode.

"A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH"D. B. SWEENEY, HEATHER McCOMB AND EMMY AND TONY WINNER HAL HOLBROOK GUEST STAR --The White House grapples with a mysterious biological threat. Their only hope is to crack Sophia (Laura Innes) during interrogation. Meanwhile, Vicky (Taylor Cole) and Carter (guest star D.B. Sweeney) keep their hostage captive while they await further instructions. FBI Agent Collier (guest star Heather McComb), on her search for Leila (Sarah Roemer), stumbles upon Vicky's secret life. Elsewhere, a powerful businessman, Dempsey (guest star Hal Holbrook) with classified intelligence and ties to the White House, emerges from the shadows. Jason Ritter, Blair Underwood, Željko Ivanek, Clifton Collins, Jr., Ian Anthony Dale, Scott Patterson, Lisa Vidal, and Bill Smitrovich. Directed by: John Badham

Unrealistic but super-intense car-chase-shoot-out!

Who doesn’t love a bucket for a bathroom?

And, for the genuinely thought-provoking video segment, watch how Sophia takes the president’s family history and turns it around on him.

The Event airs Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
