Following word of a handful of drama pilots that received series orders at Fox for the 2013-2014 season, comes another batch of series orders at Fox, this time for comedies. Among the pilots going to series at Fox is the cop comedy starring Andy Samberg, and Surviving Jack, which will star Chris Meloni.

According to Deadline, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Surviving Jack, Enlisted, Dads and Us and Them have all received 13-episode orders at Fox.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine comes from Dan Goor and Parks and Rec creator Michael Schur and stars Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher. The single-camera comedy centers on a laid back police detective in New York City who finds himself working for a "by the book" boss who expects him to start acting his age and respecting the badge.

Dads is a multi-camera comedy from Seth MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, which stars Seth Green and Giovanni Ribisi as two old friends whose fathers move in with them. Fox tends to lean toward single-camera comedies these days, which is pretty clear by the rest of this pickups list, but they also tend to lean toward Seth MacFarlane. So it should be interesting to see how this comedy does.

Enlisted stars The Finder's Geoff Stults and is a single-camera comedy from Kevin Biegel. The military-set comedy stars Stults as one of three brothers working together among a group of misfits on a small Florida Army base. Hopefully Stults will have better luck with this project than he did with The Finder and Ben and Kate, both of which failed to survive their first seasons on Fox.

Us & Them is based on a British series called Gavin and Stacey. The ensemble single-camera comedy centers on "a young couple, whose path to happily-ever-after is complicated by the screwed-up circus of people closest to them." The original series was created by James Corden and Ruth Jones. The U.S. version is being adapted and written by David J. Rosen, of MTV's I Just Want My Pants Back.

Finally, Surviving Jack (working title) is a single-camera comedy is based on Justin Halpern's semi-autographical book I Suck At Girls. Halpern is also known for the "Shit My Dad Says" Twitter feed, which was also adapted for a TV series a few years back. The lack of swear words makes Surviving Jack hs a better title for a TV show, I think. Though it sounds a bit more like a drama than a comedy title, so we'll have to wait and see if Fox changes it. The series is set in the '90s and stars Chris Meloni (Law & Order) as "a man becoming a dad," while his son is becoming a man in the pre-Google era. As a 90s adolescent, I'm especially excited to see how the decade is portrayed in this comedy. And of course, to see Chris Meloni.
