Game Of Thrones Season 3 Set Video: Fantasy And Drama And A Bit Of Butchery On The Way
HBO's latest video promoting the third season of Game of Thrones gives us a look behind the scenes of the production and set, and offers a few glimpses at what's ahead for some of the new and returning characters. It also features the writers and cast discussing the series and where the story is going as the fantasy drama moves forward.
We're still a couple of months away from the premiere of Game of Thrones' third season, which arrives March 31, but we're starting to see a bit more of what's to come as the adaptation of George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series moves forward. In the "Invitation to the Set" video below, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss discuss new characters and "new blood" to shake things up.
Also featured are Diana Rigg (Lady Olenna Tyrell), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Richard Madden (Robb Stark), Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell), Ciaran Hinds (Mance Rayder), Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark),
"So far it seems to be operating fantastically, for people who love fantasy and drama and a bit of butchery on the way," Ciaran Hinds says. A succinct way of summing up what Game of Thrones has to offer.
Talk of power, family and this being the season of "tremendous reversals of fortune" definitely has me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what's next, though I expect those who've read the book already know some of that. But it'll still be exciting to see how it all plays out on the small screen.
