John Stamos Circling The Lead In Fox Comedy Pilot Little Brother
Is John Stamos returning to TV in a starring role? Have mercy! Sure, we’ve seen him pop up in TV shows over the years since his days of being the hair-obsessed quasi-rocker Uncle Jesse on Full House, with stints on ER and Glee among his recent credits. He even tried his hand at a starring role in a comedy a handful a years back with the short-lived Jake in Progress. And now it looks like he might be giving comedy another shot through a Fox pilot in which he might star.
Deadline reports that Stamos is “in preliminary talks” to star in Fox’s comedy pilot Little Brother, but his decision is contingent on the rewrite, which is currently underway by Mike Royce (Everybody Loves Raymond). Actor/comedian T.J. Miller is already on board to play one of the two leads.
The comedy follows a man who learns he has a half-brother who happens to be an ex-con. Miller’s set to play the ex-con half-brother and the search has been on to find the other lead, which may end up being Stamos and could add substantial value to the cast of the project, which received a cast-contingent pilot order last fall. After all, who doesn’t love a little bit of Stamos?
