New Yearís celebrations are officially over. Which should mean most of us have gotten our holiday decorations back into boxes in preparation for heading back to fully normal weeks of work. With the return of routine comes new television, and Mondayís viewings were a bit high and low, with a few steady holders in there for balance.

Up for the week was CBSí 2 Broke Girls, whose whopping 12 mil viewers inched them up a bit in the ratings. CBSí Hawaii Five-O also enjoyed a nice boost during the 10 p.m. ET slot. According to the numbers over at TV Line, the warm weather procedural was up 7% from its last new episode airing. On the losing end was CBSí How I Met Your Mother, whose ratings were down after, granted, an extremely highly viewed fall finale. HIMYM dropped 13% in the 8 p.m. ET slot. Other Monday night shows, like the highly watched Two and a Half Men trounced as usual, while NBC's Rock Center continued to hang out in last place at 10 p.m. ET.

Which brings us to The Bachelor, one of ABCís former juggernauts, which entered its 16th season to alright ratings. The new season of The Bachelor features winemaker Ben Flajnik, who was formerly shot down on a season of The Bachelorette. The show premiered at 8 p.m. ET to 7.74 million viewers, which is an ouch of a 13% drop from last yearís premiere. Even more gruesome was the second hour of the show, where ratings where down 17%. Perhaps it is time for The Bachelor to return to its former 60 minute schedule that was less of a time suck and more of a ratings draw.
