It’s been a pretty solid few weeks for new pilots, at least by big name directorial standards. Charlie’s Angels’ helmer McG is currently circling Wonder Woman, Antoine Fuqua is back to team up with his Training Day buddy Ethan Hakwe and now the man behind the Night At The Museums is giving television a go.

According to Deadline, Shawn Levy has made plans to direct the pilot for Fox’s Family Album. The comedy follows an extended family that hit the every for the summer for some good old fashioned rest and relaxation. Obviously, shenanigans are a foot, but unlike your run of the mill sitcom, each season will showcase one single family vacation. Think of it like 24 with more roadtrip games.

If this finds a time slot on Fox, Levy certainly won’t be directing most episodes, but he likely will stay on as at least an executive producer.
