Stars In Danger: The High Dive Video Teases Celebrity Dives And Flops
Tonight is the last Wednesday before American Idol, and Fox is filling the primetime spot with a celebrity diving special Stars in Danger: The High Dive. If you've watched Fox at any point in the last couple of weeks, there's a good chance you saw some of the promos for the special. This latest one features some of the celebrities as they discuss the challenges of diving.
Stars in Danger is based on a German format and follows a group of celebrities as they learn to dive and then compete in various Olympic-style dives, including solo high diving and synchronized diving. Among the celebrities set to compete are Jersey Shore's JWOWW, shark attack survivor and surfer Bethany Hamilton, sisters Kim and Kyle Richards, NFL's Terrell Owens, actress Alexandra Paul and actor/model Antonio Sabato Jr, all of whom are featured in the video below as they talk about diving.
Bethany Hamilton is adorable as she talks about diving with just one arm, though it sounds like she's not blaming that for her struggles. Meanwhile, Alexandra Paul says it hurts when you land badly, which is a tough lesson anyone who's ever dived has probably learned at least once. And from the videos we've seen, there are some bad landings for just about everyone in this special. I suppose the real challenge is being willing to climb back up the ladder and try again. Kudos to all of them for doing that.
We'll see how it all turns out tonight (Wednesday, January 9) when Stars in Danger: The High Dive airs (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Fox.
