The problem with digital downloads for a long time has been the lack of all the fun bonus features you get with a DVD/Blu-ray purchase. Well enough if you're just a casual fan who just wants a copy of the movie, but disappointing for any die-hard film fans who really want to dig into the behind-the-scenes materials. Several companies have been getting around this recently by releasing new versions of films on iTunes accompanied by extras. One of the latest out the gate is 300, Zack Snyder's stylish, hyper-violent adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel. It's available now for download on iTunes, and it's brought bonus content with it.

If you somehow managed to miss it, 300 is a highly stylized retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae, where King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 (duh) of his Spartan soldiers faced off against the entire Persian army of King Xerxes. The film is framed as a retelling of the story, so it's not so much couched in reality. But that's okay, because when the choice is between boring reality or dudes leaping through the air in slow motion while decapitating like 15 guys in a row, you should always opt for the latter.

You can download 300 off iTunes for a mere $9.99 by clicking right here. The extras available include a making-of featurette and interviews with Gerard Butler and Zack Snyder. This is mad---no, wait, I said I wasn't going to do that. Sorry.
