The DVD Blend Backs Batman: Gotham Knight

Each week DVDs come out. Some of them are worth your time and money and some aren't. Some of them are movies I've seen, and some of them aren’t. Regardless, I give you my opinion on the big release of the week. Take it or leave it, here's the DVD Blend.

Cinema Blend Pick of the Week:

Batman: Gotham Knight

While I found Batman: Gotham Knight a bit disappointing, I’d be a fool not to say it’s the pick of the week. I mean, look at what else is out there: Superhero Movie, The Ruins? With The Dark Knight just over a week away, I can’t possibly support any other movie. Besides, Gotham Knight isn’t bad, it just isn’t my cup of tea. If you like anime style Batman then this could be right up your alley. Designed to bridge the gap between Christopher Nolan’s two movies, this takes place early in Batman’s career, when citizens are still getting used to the idea of the caped crusader and police don’t know quite what to make of the masked vigilante. While it doesn’t work in a ton of the Batman mythos, what is here is entertaining enough that most people will enjoy it. If nothing else, it’ll tide the Batman fever everyone has for one more week until The Dark Knight arrives in theaters.
