Spend the Holidays in Narnia With Prince Caspian

Journey back to Narnia this holiday season. On December 2nd Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will release The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian on DVD and Blu-ray.

Peter (William Moseley), Susan (Anna Popplewell), Edmund (Skandar Keynes) and Lucy (Georgie Henley) are back, but not after only a year as the children suspect. What has been just a year since their last to the magical land in London time, turns out to be about 1,300 years in Narnia. Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes), the young heir to the throne at Cair Paravel, summons this return. The prince’s uncle, King Miraz (Sergio Castellitto), murders his father and claims the throne for himself. When the king plans to murder Caspian after his wife gives birth to a son, he has no choice but to flee to Old Narnia. Now it is up to the Pevensie children, yet again, to restore peace and glory to the land.

The second installment of the Narnia series is sure to take your breath away, just as the first had. Considering the massive amounts of special effects and action scenes in this film, buying it on Blu-ray could be well worth the extra cash. Who wouldn’t want to feel like they were actually in the mystical land of Narnia? It gives you a 360-degree look at the castle raid scene. You’ll actually have the power to enter the scene and turn in any direction you please all while exploring the most intricate details of set.

If you choose to keep it simple and stick with the DVD version of the film for $29.99, you’ll get audio commentary by the director and actors to accompany the film. If you upgrade to the Collector’ Edition DVD for $39.99, you’ll be taking one step closer to Narnia by adding special audio commentary with behind-the-scenes information and bloopers to the bonus material list. And, finally, there’s the ultimate Blu-ray version that literally lands you in Narnia for $35.99. Think of it this way; it’s a much cheaper trip than if you opt to fly somewhere for the holiday.
