Microsoft is taking advantage of the summertime software drought by offering gamers some deliciously succulent deals when it comes to the digital offerings on the Xbox Store for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Some of the fantastic deals that Microsoft is offering for the Xbox brand, spanning games, software, apps and DLC, was rolled out over on the Major Nelson website. The Ultimate Game Sale will run between June 30th and July 10th, featuring more than 350 games, accessories and hardware that are discounted during the hot summer months. It's noted that for some games and peripherals there's an extra 10% off discount for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

Valve has dominated the seasonal sales space with some steep discounts across its catalog of games on Steam, ranging from 5% off all the way up to 95% off in some cases. Microsoft may not be going in quite as steep as the Steam Summer Sales for some games, but there are some noteworthy AAA games up for grabs, including Halo Wars 2, which is marked down by up to 50% for Xbox Live Silver and Xbox Live Gold members.

Ubisoft's Far Cry: Primal is also discounted by up to 50% off the normal price, making it a steal at $25.00. One of the other games highlighted in the sale is Titanfall 2, which is being offered up across a number of different deals, including being packaged into a Battlefield 1 bundle that's 67% off the normal price for $48, which means you're getting both games for $24 each. If you decide to get Titanfall 2 as a standalone, you'll save up to 50% on the game.

Rocksteady's highly revered Batman: Arkham Knight is discounted by 60% off, along with various other open world games like Assassin's Creed: Unity and other popular entries in the series such as Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection, which is discounted by up to 50%. If you decide to get the Assassin's Creed triple pack, which comes packed with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and Assassin's Creed: Unity, you can save 67% on the bundle.

If you've been itching the Xbox Play Anywhere scratch and need something else to sate that nag, there are games like Thimbleweed Park, Voodoo Vince: Remastered, and Snake Pass that are all discounted, mostly between 35% and 50% off the normal price.

If you're strapped for cash and need something to tide over your software collection on the Xbox One that's cheap and fun, there are games like Cabela's African Adventures that's discounted by 75% off, along with noteworthy indie titles like Deadlight: Director's Cut, which is also 75% off. Going even further up the chain, games like Terraria, The Walking Dead: Season Two and Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix is discounted by 80% off, giving your wallet some much needed relief from all the other discounts. Some backwards compatible games like Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the Xbox 360 is also slashed by 80% off as well.

New and big games such as Get Even, GTA V and Halo 5: Guardians have also been marked down, assuming you wanted some new or notable AAA games added to your library.
