February is about to kick off, which means it's time to take a look at this month's fresh batch of titles coming to PlayStation Plus. Knack and Rime lead the charge on the PlayStation 4, with five more games included in February's lineup.

The PlayStation Blog has updated with its usual monthly dose of Plus goodness, letting participants know what games they can add to their digital collection at no cost on top of the regular subscription. As noted above, the PlayStation 4 is getting Knack and Rime, both family-friendly games that offer bright and colorful adventures. The PlayStation 3 is getting Spelunker HD and Mugen Souls Z, with the Vita earning Exiles End and Grand Kingdom.

We'll dive into those a bit more in just a moment, but I feel the need to remind folks that, as an added bonus, Starblood Arena is also a free Plus game through March 6. An arena shooter for the PlayStation VR, it's probably my favorite game for the platform. If you've got plus and a headset handy, you might want to make sure you grab a copy while it's still available.

Now back to the regular Plus offerings for February.

The PS4 crowd is getting Knack, a platforming adventure game that harkens back to the days when mascot-driven romps were king. While initial reviews weren't stellar, the game seems to have a loyal fan base. Even the comments from the blog post are full of praise for the game so, for free, it's definitely worth checking out.

As for Rime, you'll be dropped onto a mysterious island with little direction as to where to go. Who are you? Why are you here? Where is here? You'll have to start exploring if you want to learn the answers.

As for the PS3, fans who love digging through 2D labyrinths will enjoy burrowing into Spelunker HD, while Mugen Souls Z is an anime-as-hell RPG with colorful characters and combat that mixes turn-based with action.

Finally, over on the Vita, you can grab Exiles End and Grand Kingdom from Plus in February. The former is a Metroidvania game that sees you exploring a sprawling 2D map while blasting enemies while the latter another RPG that boasts unique map exploration and 2D, turn-based, strategic battles. This one is also a cross-platform game, so you can download it on the PlayStation 4 if you prefer.

So there you have it. Anything here you're looking forward to playing? Anything you'd recommend Plus members make sure they pick up? Did I mention everyone should play Starblood Arena? Alright, fine, just share your thoughts in the comments below.
