It looks like Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment is done with the Xbox 360. Today they revealed that they're working on a game for "future generation consoles." They're searching for some new staff to help this game happen.
"Remedy Entertainment is looking for world-class talent to work on an unannounced project targeted at future generation consoles," said Remedy on their forums. "More than 20 new positions will become available within the next few months. The first batch of positions will go live as soon as Friday 30th of March."
Presumably they're starting work on the next Alan Wake. Ever since they sold Max Payne to Rockstar back in 2002, Wake has been their main focus. This year, they ported the game to the PC and released a new downloadable adventure called Alan Wake's American Nightmare via Xbox Live Arcade. Remedy has also indicated that they're not done with the franchise just yet.
"Alan Wake is definitely very close to our hearts. It's our IP - we own it. It's not something that we're going to forget very easily," Remedy's Oskari Häkkinen said in a recent interview.
The fact that Remedy mentioned future generation "consoles" is interesting. Previously they've only been working with the Xbox 360. It looks like they'd be open to developing for the Wii U or Sony's next console as well.
