Today Ubisoft detailed the exclusive Assassin's Creed 3 DLC they're releasing on the PS3. Owners of the PS3 version of AC3 can look forward to an adventure featuring Benedict Arnold.
The four-mission subplot begins with George Washington sending Connor to West Point, New York. He's heard rumors that the British and Loyalist spies are conspiring to take the fortifcations there from the Continental Army. Connor will have to investigate this plot and ultimately fend off an attack on the fort. In the process, they'll also interact with Benedict Arnold, the General in the Continental Army who tried to sell the fort at West Point to the British.
"We have some scenes that have the actual words spoken by key players in the events at West Point, according to the records from the court proceedings following what happened," AC3 scriptwriter Matt Turner told PlayStation.Blog. "On the other side of things, we needed to inject it with some gameplay so there are some liberties in terms of the action. But who was there, what they did, and what happened to them is as precise as the history books would allow."
This DLC's existence was hinted at by the box art for the PS3 version. The box art mentioned that this content would provide an hour's worth of gameplay.
