Assassin's Creed fans may soon find out details on Assassin's Creed 3. Ubisoft says they're about to make a big announcement for the open-world assassination game. They've also released an interesting teaser image.
"A major announcement from Assassin’s Creed is only days away. Tune in to http://www.assassinscreed.com tomorrow for more details," reads a post on the official AC Facebook page. The accompanying image (below) shows a snowy field...we think.
Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed 3 two weeks ago. They didn't, however, mention the game's setting at the time. Presumably they'll reveal that piece of information in this coming announcement.
Rumored settings for AC3 include the American Revolution, feudal Japan, and Victorian England. This teaser image doesn't necessarily rule out any of them. Again, it's just a field that appears to be covered in snow. I say snow instead of sand because of the white particles whipping around in the wind. Who knows, though.
The announcement likely doesn't pertain to new DLC for Assassin's Creed Revelations. They just released a new single-player add-on for the game yesterday so it'll probably be awhile before we hear more about that game.
Update: The first poster from AC3 has hit the Internet, confirming the Revolutionary War setting.
