Next month Assassin's Creed Revelations will receive its first downloadable content. The Ancestors Character Pack will be available for download on December 13th.

The Ancestors Pack adds four multiplayer characters: the Privateer, the Corsair, the Brigand and the Gladiator. Like the characters included with the base game, these new additions have unique weapons, taunts and assassinations. The DLC will cost $3.99, or 320 MS Points.

In Revelations' multiplayer, players control Templar operatives in virtual reality training. They attempt to assassinate other players while avoiding the same fate. Bonus points are given out for stealthier kills, making it one of the rare multiplayer games that rewards you for being careful and quiet.

Revelations was released today worldwide on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The PC version is due on the 29th. It's not clear whether this content will ever arrive on the PC; it's possible that it will ship with that version.
