The first workday after a long weekend is always a bit depressing but maybe the Dark Knight can ease your pain. Rocksteady has released a new DLC pack and Game of the Year bundle for their open-world game Batman: Arkham City.
The "Harley Quinn's Revenge" DLC adds a final chapter to Arkham City's campaign. Harley, Joker's sidekick, sets out to punish Batman for what he did to her boss. The two-hour adventure will let players control both Batman and Robin.
If you don't own the game period, you can buy the Game of the Year Edition starting today. The Arkham City GOTY bundle includes the Harley Quinn DLC as well as the game's other add-ons: the Catwoman Pack, Nightwing Bundle Pack, Robin Bundle Pack, Challenge Map Pack and Arkham City Skins Pack. If you live in the United States or Canada, you'll receive a download voucher for the film Batman Year One as well.
The Harley Quinn DLC and Game of the Year bundle are only available in North America on the PS3 and Xbox 360 at present. The bundle will hit Europe, Australia, and other territories in September. The PC version of Arkham, which apparently won't get the GOTY edition, will receive the Harley DLC in early June.
I haven't played the new DLC so I can't comment on its quality. However, if you missed Arkham City this fall, I strongly suggest buying it. It's a fun mix of brawling and stealth. The game world has plenty of side content too, so you'll get plenty of playtime for your money. For more in-depth information, check out my review.
