2K Games and Irrational Games have released a new trailer to promote the pre-order content for BioShock: Infinite. The trailer is short and sweet and introduces gamers to more than just the pre-order goodies, as there are also some colorful violence and delectably intense action sequences on display as well.

BioShock: Infinite takes players from out of the depths of the deep sea city of Rapture and places players high up above into a city in the clouds that relishes in the emergence of industrial mechanics and aerial-focused technology and gadgets. Grab a brief glimpse of it all in the new trailer below.

I think I would have loved the trailer so much more without the whole pre-order peddling going on. I always wonder, though, do these kind of pre-sale marketing gimmicks actually convince you to put money into a product before it releases?

Extra coin, weapons and accessories to speed up the “progress” into the game seems a bit like paying to get to the end faster. Maybe it's just me, and maybe it's because I'm an old-school gamer who enjoys all the flavors of the interactive experience and the triumph of conquering the game with hard-earned skill and dedication.

Anyway, you can pre-order BioShock: Infinite right now for your platform of choice, including the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The game is set to release in late March for all three platforms. Need more information? Feel free to visit the Official Website.
