Konami released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming hardcore flying simulator, Birds of Steel for the Xbox 360 and PS3. In the trailer the release date for the game is set for release on March 15th.

The trailer is full of action straight from the cockpit to the wingman's view, with plenty of planes being shredded in mid-air and parts flying from here to Great Britain. The nice part is that it's all in-game footage so there's no worries about whether or not what you're seeing is actual gameplay footage, because it is.

The game also comes jam packed with more than 100 real-life planes from World War II, as well as a brand new physics-based damage model and an engaging new online four-player cooperative mode, so you and three buddies can partner up and take down the Allied or Axis together in a fully fleshed out campaign mode.

You can pre-order the game right now for either the Xbox 360 or the PS3 or you can simply learn more and view media assets by paying a visit to the game's Official Website. And remember, Birds of Steel is due out on March 15th.
