Call Of Duty will probably always be known for its ever-popular zombie mode. I mean let’s be honest, the first time I ever played Call Of Duty, it was the zombie mode in World At War. That’s what got me hooked, so it’s no surprise that the upcoming DLC for Call Of Duty: Black Ops III has a trailer fit for any fan of the undead. Check it out below.

Call Of Duty zombies sure have come a long way since their debut in World At War. In the upcoming Eclipse DLC pack, there will be a new chapter offered for the Call Of Duty zombie enthusiasts. In the new story, Zetsubou No Shima, players will be stranded on an isolated Pacific island wrought with living dead World War II zombies and man-eating jungle plants. How did all of these things end up on one island? There is a secret biological lab that is the culprit for the creation of all of these monstrosities.

The DLC pack will also include new maps: Verge, Rift, Spire, and Knockout. Verge is actually a reimagining of a World At War map that was titled Banzai and it will be set in the future amongst a war between two tribes.

Honestly, just from watching the above trailer, I feel like this is taking a large step away from how we are used to seeing Call Of Duty zombies, and I think that’s a good thing. Being stranded on an island is scary in itself, but an island crawling with the undead and other traps and enemies? That’s downright horrifying.

The Eclipse DLC pack for Call Of Duty: Black Ops III will be releasing next week on April 19 for the PlayStation 4, but unfortunately PC and Xbox players will have to wait another month to get their hands on it. For more information, you can visit the official website.
