Dishonored Voice Cast Includes Susan Sarandon, Carrie Fisher

Though Dishonored is a brand-new IP, Bethesda is sparing no expense. They've assembled a really impressive collection of television and film actors to supply the character's voices.

Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon will be playing Granny Rags, a deranged old woman living on the street who was once a wealthy aristocrat. Piero, the inventor who supplies your character with gadgets, will be voiced by One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Lord of the Rings actor Brad Dourif. Carrie Fisher (a.k.a. Princess Leia) will be the voice of government propaganda that booms through the city's loudspeakers.

Fans of Mad Men will be pleased to learn that John Slattery is part of the cast as well. He plays Admiral Havelock and will assist you in your quest. Chlo Grace Moretz (Hit-Girl from Kick-Ass) is Young Lady Emily, the daughter of the murdered Empress. Her caretaker is Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones).

What's interesting is the lack of villains mentioned in the cast. Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs) is playing Daud, a "mysterious assassin." It's not clear whether he's friend or foe, though. I'm curious who voices Lord Regent, the main antagonist of the game. Perhaps he's being played by someone who isn't a film/TV star, or Bethesda's simply keeping his identity secret for now.

The soundtrack should be Hollywood caliber as well. The original score will be done by Daniel Licht. He's been active in film and television music since 1991 and is best known for scoring the Showtime series Dexter.
