Capcom and Ninja Theory's upcoming reboot of Devil May Cry ran into a bit of the leaky territory, when early copies of the game managed to get into hands of gamers and they briskly took it upon themselves to showcase just what gamers could be missing by not playing the Westernized take on the popular Japanese series.

DmC: Devil May Cry is set for release this upcoming Tuesday and features the return of Dante the demon hunter, showcasing an origin's story of how this guy came to become such a legend. Even more than that, gamers get to see how emo he was in a Twilight-esque story. I'm not going to say anything else, though, just check it out in the ending below courtesy of the Paranoid Gamer. And it should go without saying but...

Warning: Obvious Spoilers Are Obvious!.

I was about to cringe myself into epilepsy near the end there. I might have to go watch the first 10 minutes of the Expendables 2 again to wash some of the emo off.

Anyway, if you really want to play the game you won't have to wait long for it to launch and if you really don't want to play the game, at least the ending may or may not have been what you were expecting. I can't say I was impressed; seemed like typical anime fanfare with some extra Twilight secreted on top. But then again, Devil May Cry games have never had particularly good writing or well explored characters, so it's not like it's too far off from where the series already was.

Nevertheless, what do you think of the ending? Did it meet your expectations? Better or worse? That is of course, discounting the poor man's quality recording from an even poorer man's low-definition television.
