A lot of people have been complaining about the trend of MMOs being storyless with a butt-load of level grinding. And to be honest, most MMO games are like RPGs but without a reason to move forward other than to get stronger. Well, Nexon is taking a different approach to the MMORPG genre and they are bringing back some side-scrolling flair and color characters to round the experience. The only step they need to complete now is to bring aboard a few willing beta testers.

Nexon has officially put the word out that closed-beta testers are needed. According to the press release, “Dungeon Fighter Online pairs classic arcade-style action game play with an immersive RPG fantasy world and brings both online for one incredible free-to-play experience.”

The game is kind of cool in that it offers slayers, gunners, mages, fighters and priests in dynamic, action-adventure oriented gaming. In other words, it’s the kind of MMO that non-casual gamers might actually enjoy playing.

Dungeon Fighter Online offers up fully customizable characters, weapons and items. The game offers up auctions, item trades, chats and friend lists. The closed-beta applications will be taken up until July 7th. So anyone interested should mosey on along to the Official Dungeon Fighter Online Website to register for closed-beta participation.
