Sega and Gearbox Software released a new batch of screenshots for their upcoming first-person, cooperative shooter, Aliens: Colonial Marines. The new screenshots focus on the game's multiplayer modes and gives a brief look at some PvP between humans and xenomorphs.

The screenshots are really nondescript for the most part. It's kind of hard to explain what's going on other than the fact that it's a team deathmatch involving six marines and six xenomorphs that takes place on a very damaged Hadley's Hope.

The game itself will feature a four-player cooperative campaign mode. It's definitely a mode that many co-op FPS fans will love, especially given that the game is very cinematic and is being compared to being an aliens version of Call of Duty. If you're into the fast-paced, scripted blockbuster movie moments in your shooter games then you'll definitely enjoy Aliens: Colonial Marines.

The game has been delayed a number of times but it finally found a sound release heading into the early first half of 2013. More specifically, you can look for Aliens: Colonial Marines to launch for the Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in February, 2013.

You can check out the brand new multiplayer screenshots below and if you can't wait to play as some of the Colonial Marines in settings directly influenced, inspired and expertly crafted from James Cameron's popular action-horror flick, then you can learn more by paying a visit to the game's Official Website.
