Xbox 360 owners will soon be able to purchase the first three Fable games all at once. Xbox Marketplace is listing a discounted Fable Trilogy bundle that will be out next month through Xbox Live.
Fable is an action RPG set in the medieval fantasy world of Albion. The player battles enemies with melee weapons, ranged weapons and magic. During their journeys they have to make moral decisions that will affect their character's appearance and how NPC's react to them. Each game also offers multiple endings, good and bad. The second and third games allowed for drop-in/drop-out co-op so that players could invite a friend on their adventures.
Fable Trilogy includes Fable 2, Fable 3 and Fable Anniversary. Fable Anniversary is an HD remake of the first Fable optimized for the Xbox 360. It includes 1080p visuals, leaderboards and Achievements. Anniversary also features the additional Lost Chapters content released for Fable in 2005.
"This bundle pack offers these games together at a discounted rate over individual purchases," the Xbox Marketplace listing says. "The games in this bundle are available as individual downloads in the Xbox Games marketplace and are exactly the same. Be aware that it is possible to download the same game twice. If you already own one of these games there is no additional discount on this bundle, nor do you receive an additional copy of the game you already own."
Lionhead confirmed the Xbox Marketplace details on the Trilogy to Eurogamer earlier today. The company promised additional details soon through their website. I'm not really sure what else they need to say about this bundle - other than maybe confirming whether boxed copies are coming too - but there you go.
Fable Trilogy will debut on February 4th in North America and on February 7th in Europe. Those are the exact same days that Fable Anniversary will launch so you won't need to wait to buy the games in bulk.
