Bethesda released the Broken Steel downloadable episode for Fallout 3 this morning and, like the previous DLC The Pitt, it's apparently got a few bugs. This time around, though, it's the PC version that's experiencing problems.

PC gamers on the Bethesda forums (via Eurogamer) report that after downloading Broken Steel, they receive the following error: "Not a cryptographic message or the cryptographic message is not formatted correctly. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8009200D)." Apparently there's a difference between the reported size and actual size of the file.

The Xbox 360 version doesn't seem to be plagued by that particular issue. Bethesda will probably make some sort of statement on the matter soon. Until they get a fixed version up, you PC gamers can pass the time by watching the trailer over and over.

Update: Bethesda has sent out a statement stating that they're "seeing the same error, which is a Games for Windows Live DRM Install error." They also note that the Xbox 360 version is experiencing problems. "The Xbox Live servers don’t seem to be fully synched yet with the additional Achievements. This should fix itself automatically soon. People won’t lose any achievements."
