The LittleBigPlanet Karting development team is heading to PAX Prime this year and, in true LBP form, they want a community member to design their swag. This t-shirt design contest runs through Aug. 9, so you're going to need to get creative with a quickness. Full details following the jump.

A post announcing the contest went up on the PlayStation Blog earlier today. The folks behind LBPK are looking for a community designed bit of artwork to show off their new game in t-shirt form, and the rules are pretty straightforward. First, the shirt must contain a classic Sackboy, knitted, wearing no costume. Since this is LittleBigPlanet Karting, your design must also include a Kart. Thirdly, you can use any color you want, but only 1-3 colors per design are allowed. Finally, the design must utilize three areas of the provided template, which can be found at the above link.

The contest runners promise that their artists can rework any submission, so even folks without the best artistic talents are encouraged to send in a rough sketch of their design.

Along with having their artwork appear on the LBPK PAX shirt, the winner will receive a shirt of their own, a 3G PlayStation Vita, a copy of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and a copy of LittleBigPlanet Karting. Five runners up will also receive a shirt with the winning design, as well as their own copy of LittleBigPlanet Karting.

As I said, the contest ends on Aug. 8, so you don't have much time if you want to perfect a design before sending it in. For downloadable shirt templates and a refresher on the rules, visit the contest's official website.
