Square Enix is preparing a fifth expansion pack for their MMORPG Final Fantasy XI. Seekers of Adoulin, announced at Vana Fest 2012, will be released sometime in 2013.
Adoulin introduces two new jobs. Only one has been announced so far: Geomancer. Square Enix is keeping the other secret for the time being.
The expansion will be available through retailers on the Xbox 360 in North America and Europe. The PC edition will be sold in digital form. The PS2 will be be sold only in Japan.
It's really surprising to see Square Enix creating a full-fledged expansion for the MMO. They released the fourth expansion, Wings of the Goddess, half a decade ago. Square Enix's newer MMO, Final Fantasy XIV, never really took off though so I guess it makes sense for them to keep pouring resources into the older game.
