This week’s Nintendo eShop releases range the spectrum, providing everything from a gritty fighter in Injustice: Gods Among Us, to an NES classic featuring the adorable pink walking vacuum, Kirby.
The big title hitting the Wii U eShop this week is Injustice: Gods Among Us. Releasing next Tuesday, April 16, Injustice comes from NetherREalm Studios, the folks responsible for the Mortal Kombat franchise. Injustice is a more methodical fighter, requiring players to master each fighter’s unique abilities, as well as the dynamic, evolving environments they’ll be duking it out in.
The other big Wii U eShop release for the week is Kirby’s Adventure. This Nintendo classic takes place in Dream Land, were King Dedede has stolen the Star Rod and ruined sleep for everyone. As Kirby, you’ll need to steal your enemies’ powers in order to overcome countless obstacles and enemies in an effort to restore the broken pieces of the Star Rod and return peace to Dream Land.
The Nintendo 3DS eShop has a couple of highlights this week, too, including the latest tower defense game, Dillon’s Rolling Western: The Last Ranger, and the highly anticipated Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers.
The Last Ranger has players gathering resources and fortifying the town during the day and fending off baddies once the sun goes down. Soul Hackers, on the other hand, is releasing for the first time ever in the U.S. this week, bringing the series’ first-person sci-fi RGP action to the 3DS with improved graphics, voice acting and 3D dungeon exploration.
Look for these titles and more to hit the Nintendo eShop this week on the Wii U and 3DS.
