Warner Bros. Interactive sent out word today that the telekinetic, blind swordsman known only as Kenshi has become available for download on the Xbox 360 and PS3 in the newly rebooted Mortal Kombat.
Kenshi is the second character to make the transition from the Mortal Kombat character cache of old and into the world of HD gaming on the current gen consoles. The other character was Skarlet, who is currently available as DLC on both consoles.
For those of you unfamiliar with Kenshi (and shame on you for being unfamiliar with Kenshi) he’s a blind martial artists who has a special sword that further empowers his skills with telekinetic energy. He’s on a quest of revenge against Shang Tsung who cost Kenshi his eyesight for the sake of a few extra souls. He’s one of the few very fleshed out characters with impressive skills to match his equally impressive attire.
You can purchase Kenshi for the PlayStation 3 for only $4.99 or if you’re part of the Xbox Live Season Pass you get him for free you lucky freaking ducks.
Also, two additional Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 inspired skins are available for Noob Saibot and Smoke…for free. The next downloadable character is the cool-as-a-cucumber ninja, Rain.
