Co-developed by Rebellion and Metal Gear Acid director, Shinta Nojiri, NeverDead is about an immortal, decaying warrior and his sexy female partner as they battle the forces of the underworld. A new batch of screenshots were released showing off some of the action and intensity from the game.

Shinta Nojiri, creator of NeverDead commented in the press release, saying...
"In NeverDead, we've gone all out to change the approach the player takes in battle," ...." Losing a limb is a mere inconvenience and Bryce's physical skills allow a wealth of ways to take out the enemy – from close-range combat, to throwing limbs into clusters of monsters and shooting them remotely. This adds a level of humor to the game that brings the world-weary main character to life, while players revel in game worlds that are fully interactive and eminently destructible."

It reminds me of Evil Dead: Regeneration's little deadite that you could kick and throw around to kill enemies. Except, you're kicking and throwing around the main character's limbs.

Anyway, NeverDead is mostly an action-oriented third-person shooter, so you don't have to worry about hopping around as a paraplegic throughout most of the game. You can check out some of the snazzy new screenshots for Konami's TPS below or look for it to land on retailer shelves beginning January 31st for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
