Starting tomorrow, October 16th, THQ and 4A Games' highly praised first-person shooter, Metro 2033, will be half-off for the entire week all the way up until October 22nd. After that, gamers will be left with paying full price for the game.

Based on the novel of the same name from Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky, and carrying many similarities to GSC Game World's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise, Metro 2033 is a post-apocalyptic experience for the ages. Gamers are thrust into a terrifying and dangerous world where humans are hunted, rangers are the only frontline of defense and fear dictates survival.

If you have yet to get in any game time with the original Metro 2033 and you're interested in picking up a copy of the game for the Xbox 360, this week would probably be about the best time to do so. Especially if you want to get caught up on the game's lore before Metro: Last Light launches next year for consoles and PC.

Once tomorrow rolls around you can pick up a copy of Metro 2033 on Xbox Live for only $9.99 as a digital download. That's a few dollars more expensive than grabbing a copy on Steam but hey, if you don't have a PC that can run the game, this is probably the next best deal. You have up until next Monday to cash in on the discount.

You can look for Metro: Last Light to launch next year. You can keep up to date on the game by visiting the Official Website.
