The official release date for Namco Bandai's upcoming action-fighting game based on Shonen Jump's popular anime, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 has its release date officially set in digital PR stone (or as close to it as you'll get) and you'll be able to get your hands on the game as soon as this spring.

The actual date is actually March 5th, which is just two months from now. The game itself brings all the ninja hack, hit, kick and slashing you would come to expect from the popular, long running series.

The story revolves around the Fourth Great Ninja War, as players will dive headfirst into the conflict that arose from the explosive combination of combustible personalities and deadly ninjas all vying for one thing or another.

Carlson Choi, VP of Marketing for Namco Bandai Games America commented in the press release about the upcoming title, saying...
“The talented team at CyberConnect2 has once again merged break-neck action and fluid animation into a thrilling fighting action-adventure title that’s fun for everyone.”

The game is looking exceptionally well made and the combat is as fast and fluent as ever. I, personally, can't wait to see how Namco Bandai and CyberConnect2 address the transition into the next generation and what sort of creative ingenuity they'll bring with them the leap into the next-gen.

For now, you can pre-order Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 for either the Xbox 360 or PS3, and you can look for the game to launch come March 5th later this year for $59.99.
