Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus will be finished in time for PS Vita's launch. Today Sony confirmed that Plus, a remake of PS3 exclusive Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, will arrive alongside the new handheld on February 22nd.

Sigma Plus is designed to use many of Vita's unique features. For example, you can shoot arrows with Sixaxis or build up your Ninpo magic attacks by tapping the touchscreen. These new controls are optional in case you prefer a more traditional Ninja Gaiden experience.

Team Ninja has also added a Ninja Challenge mode to Plus. Ninja Challenge is a series of short, standalone missions. For example, you might be asked to kill a pack of enemies or take down a boss character. The game will ship with 76 of these missions.

The original Sigma predated PSN trophies but Plus will come with a full complement. These virtual rewards will be doled out for mastering your weapons and abilities or simply killing lots of people.

The developers put a lot of effort into making sure that the game looked about as good as it did on the PS3. Did they pull it off? Judge for yourself by checking out the screenshots below.
