A little while back, the folks at Zen Studios announced a partnership with PopCap to create a line of digital pinball tables designed around the casual game developer’s fan-favorite catalog. The first table on that roster was announced today at the Penny Arcade Expo, PAX, and it looks like the timeless struggle of Plants vs. Zombies will continue on a good ole’ fashioned pin table.

Zen has a lot going on in the next week. First off, the studio will be releasing Zen Pinball 2 on the PlayStation 3, uniting the tables from the original Zen Pinball and Marvel Pinball under one roof, as well as creating a platform for new tables to be released alongside new trophies, visual tweaks, tutorials and social features. To celebrate the release of Zen Pinball 2, the Plants vs. Zombies table will be launched in tangent on Sept. 4. And in case you haven’t heard, buying any of the tables on the PlayStation 3 will make the available at no extra charge on the PlayStation Vita, and vice-versa.

Pinball loving Xbox 360 gamers will get a crack at the Plants vs. Zombies table, too, when it is added to Zen’s Pinball FX2 on XBLA come Sept. 5.

The Plants vs. Zombies pinball table will set you back $2.99 on the PS3 and 240 MP on the Xbox. So get those flipper fingers ready, because Zen is bringing more pinball action your way, this time wrapped in the warm and fuzzy goofiness of Plants vs. Zombies in just a matter of days.
