Slightly Mad Studios made a number of updates to the community driven AAA racing game, Project CARS. The new update includes a number of superficial changes as well as some super sports cars from everyone's favorite car manufacturer BMW.

The new cars include the BMW M1 and BMW Z4 GT3. The cool as a cucumber vehicles are now accessible from the game's car list and to give you a small taste of what to expect, a new three minute trailer was released from YouTube user asehauDLM showcasing the car in action.

Word of advice: If you're in the office and you should be working, plug in your headphones, crank up the volume and keep your giggling to a minimum. And try not to wet your pants when you hear the Z4 rev up. Enjoy.

By Jove did that not reek of awesomeness or what? The Z4 aced those turns like a mean mofo. Talk about hugging those corners. Wow. That was beautiful. The steering alignment and animations of the handling almost gave the impression that you could almost feel the force-feedback. Simply awesome.

I can't wait to see more of this game and Slightly Mad Studios has done a superb job, simply superb. It's already looking so much better than Shift: Unleashed. I could nearly watch the cars race the circuits all day long. The sound engineers deserve a real standing ovation. I don't think I've ever heard racing machines sound more domineering than in Project CARS.

The game is set for release for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U. If you'd like to get a complete rundown of all the fixes, changes and updates in build 296, feel free to do so over at Industry Informants. If the video above gave you goosebumps and you'd like to join in on the project, be sure to pay a kind visit to the Official WMD Portal.
