Resident Evil 5 was released earlier this month and has earned Capcom plenty of foldin' money. Surely they'll churn out the next installment in the series as quick as possible? Maybe not.
"We haven’t decided whether we’re going to make Resident Evil 6 yet," said RE5 producer Masachika Kawata in an interview with The Gadget Show. "But if we do, it could take anywhere up to eight years, but hopefully only four."
Alternate headline: "Resident Evil 6 Confirmed For Xbox 1080." That's not to say we won't see any Resident Evil until then. Earlier in March, Capcom announced that they're developing Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, a Wii light gun game.
