A week before Splinter Cell: Conviction's release, Ubisoft announced that the Collector's Edition would not come with the promised USB drive filled with bonus content. You will get a chance to acquire these extras, though.

The content will be available to download at splintercell.com/usboffer starting on Friday, April 16th. A "making of" video, concept art, wallpaper, renders, storyboards, and screenshots will be up for grabs.

The USB drives were nixed from the CE because Ubisoft found that many of them were defective. They subsequently knocked $10 off the CE's price, though, so luckily no one paid for something they didn't get.
