Square Enix has a secret project and it won't tell you what it is (tee hee). Their new teaser website, entitled "New Game," has a timer and they're not telling us a damn thing until the clock hits zero.
The teaser site is a picture of a mostly blank piece of paper. There's a black-and-white drawing of a countryside in one corner with the number "4" above it. The timer's got 223 hours left on it (nine days and change) so over that time period, we assume that piece of paper will gradually fill up with other pictures and eventually the title of whatever the hell game this is.
You know what the best part is? The teaser site is located on the Japanese Square Enix site so there's a chance that this nonsense is centered on a game that won't even be released in the West. On the other hand, would they bust out a big countdown site for a Japan-only game? I mean if you use this marketing tactic for any old game, instead of just the big ones, then it'll lose all effectiveness and just seem like a bullshit gimmick.
