Activision has confirmed today that the first ever game supporting the skateboard controller, Tony Hawk: RIDE, will be arriving in North America this upcoming November. Basically, it’s arriving in time for the change in weather; so when gamers can’t actually go outside and tear up the curbs with ollies they can lay it down hard in the comfort (and warmth) of their living room.

According to the press release..
We wanted to let you know that Tony Hawk: RIDE, with its innovative motion-sensing skateboard controller, will be available at North American retailers on November 17, 2009 and at retailers in the U.K. and Germany on November 20, 2009.

The game is pretty much like a lot of other previous entries in the series, with the exception of pulling off tricks on a skateboard controller that sits in the middle of the floor. At least the good part is that the pricey new controller for TH: RIDE also works with other games. So it’s not like buying a Wii where you only get a good selection of workout games and nearly nothing else.
