Terminal Reality revealed the first two screenshots of The Walking Dead shooter they're currently making. While it's easy to be excited about anything involving the Walking Dead, these shots don't inspire much enthusiasm.

The images show a store and a trailer park. Not a single zombie or human can be seen. There's not even so much as a drop of blood. Guess they've still hammering away at the game's art.

Terminal's Walking Dead game is a first-person shooter starring Daryl Dixon. He and his brother Merle journey across the zombie-infested United States in order to reach a rumored safe zone in Atlanta. They'll have to fight or sneak their way past the walkers, and continually scavenge for supplies. The duo will encounter a number of fellow human survivors along the way that are both friendly and hostile, and it's up to the player to decide how to deal with them.

The game's powered by Terminal's proprietary Infernal Engine. The fact sheet for the game promises "authentic character design" and "frightening realistic animations." Guess we'll just have to take their word for it for now. The Walking Dead will hit the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC next year.
