Warframe PS4 Story Trailer Brings The Space Ninjas Out To Play

With E3 right around the corner Sony has been ramping up promotion for games that will only be appearing on the PS4 and no other console. One of those games is the free-to-play PC title, Warframe. The official story trailer has been released to give gamers an idea of what to expect from this glossy new co-op title, courtesy of the Sixth Axis.

Digital Extremes is one of the many independent studios unleashing their game onto Sony's next-generation console due out this fall. Unfortunately we won't be seeing games like this on the Xbox One because of Microsoft's indie self-publishing policy that prevents studios like Digital Extremes from putting their games on home consoles without some sort of publisher intervention.

Luckily, Sony is welcoming all sorts of indies and AAA devs and everyone else in between. Studios will be able to develop games between free-to-play or $0.99 all the way up to the $60 limit. Sony will also allow indies to have certification and tool fees waived

Plain and simple, Sony is doing any and everything they can to attract developers of all ilk to contribute their expertise and ideas within the interactive entertainment industry to the PlayStation 4 platform and I'm loving every single second of it. Indies are the lifeblood and the future of the gaming industry.

As for Warframe...the above video isn't anything too unique, but most of you might be pleased to know that it's all in-engine assets and representative of how the game looks when you actually play it. You can look for Warframe to launch on the PS4 this holiday season alongside the system. For more information be sure to visit the official Warframe website.
